Show Music Students Enter Solo, Ensemble Contests at Kanab The first of the yearly music meets for the 12 higli schools of Region Six, for s'lo and ensemble ensem-ble groups, will be held in Kanab Ka-nab on Wednesday, March 11, it is announced by Wilford Young. Parowan high school music instructor. in-structor. Mr. Young is making preparations to take a large group of students from here t-v participate in the meet which will be a day long affair and! which will be climaxed by an assembly program featuring the1 outstanding numbers presented j during the day. Mr. Young will take the following fol-lowing student;: to participate in the events. Instrumental: Clarinet duet, Yvonne Benson and Maxine Rasmussen; cornet solo, Charles Topham; Piano duet, Eleanor and Marlene Adams; brass quartet. Marlene Mortensen. Charles Topham, San-ford San-ford Topham and Donald Haycock; Hay-cock; piano solo, Deon Robinson, and saxophone solo, Marie Adams. Contestants in the vcal department de-partment will be, girls trio, Ruth Lyman, Marie Adams, Jackie Ward; girls trio, Shirley Smith, Ida Talbot, Doris McBride; girls quartet, Ruth Lvman, Shirley-Smith, Shirley-Smith, Doris McBride, Ida Tai-bot; Tai-bot; girls double trio, Ruth Lyman, Ly-man, Shirley Smith, Jackie Ward, Marie Adams, Ida Talbot, Doris McBride; vocal solos, Ruth Lyman and Shirley Smith. |
