Show Drinking Arrests Top February Police Department's Report Tony Lambert, Cedar City police po-lice chief, reports that the police force handled a total of 63 cases during the month of February, exclusive of traffic violations. Seven investigations of such matters as car theft were conducted con-ducted during the month, 12 arrests ar-rests were made on drunkenness and thiee on drunken driving, two car theft arrests were made, one grand larceny, one fraudu- I lent check charge, two service men AWOL were apprehended, and two deserters from military service. One assault and battery arresc was made and one manslaughter man-slaughter arrest. Two runaway juveniles were apprehended and returned to their homes in northern north-ern Utah, and 29 "sleepers" were housed at the jail, finger printed print-ed and investigated. There were a total of 56 traffic traf-fic violation tickets issued, 30 of j which were for moving violations viola-tions such as speeding, running Ithrourh stop signs, and other improper driving practices. Of 'the moving violations, 24 were for fr.iiure to stop at stop signs within the city. |
