Show Historical Trek Thru "Hole in the Rock" Planned During April People of Cedar City and vicinity vi-cinity are invited to join in a trrk over the historic route of the pioneers who traveled from Cedar City to settle the City of Bluff, making the historic hole in the rck crossing of the Col orado River. The trek will be made in April under the leadership leader-ship of Harry Aleson of Richfield. Rich-field. The trek will last from April 10 to 19. The group will gather at Richfield on April 10 and on April 11 will be provided trans-iportation trans-iportation to a cabin seVen miles I from the historic hole in the jrnck. The next day the trekers iwill travel four miles by truck 'and then hike the remaining three miles to the hole in the rock, and then ferry the Colora- do river by boat, and camp ! where the 1879-SO wagon party camped. April 13, II. 15, 16 and 17 the group will leisurely hike along the road used by the pioneers in 1880, tracing sections of the old road, viewing the many inscriptions, inscrip-tions, and also visit the Moki House Cliff ruins and the natural bridges of the area. At the end of this time the party will be met hv trucks somewhere along the Wilson Mesa near the San Juan river, and arrive in Bluff the next day, and leave for their homes on April 19. The trip should prove tremendously tremen-dously interesting to residents of Cedar City since members of local lo-cal families were in the original pioneer party that settled San Juan county.
