Show NEWCASTLE Mrs. Geneva H. Gillies of Newcastle New-castle received woid this week of the death of her brother-in-law George R. Bringhurst, 78, at Lov-cll, Lov-cll, Wyoming. Mr. Bringhurst was born in Toquo.'ville and spent most of his life there. He attended at-tended the old Bianch Normal School at Cedar City. He married Lulu Harrison oi Pinto on December, De-cember, 1902. For a number of years after their marriage both Mr. and Mrs. Bringhurst taught school. In 1915 ihey moved to Lovell where Mr. Bringhurst became be-came Postmaster, a position lie held for 17 years. I All students of Newcastle start ed school Monday, being transported trans-ported to Cedar City. C. (J. Knell is the bus driver. Mrs. Gerie V. Sandstrom has returned to her home in Eureka after having '.pent two weeks here helping to tare for her invalid in-valid father, John II. Tullis. Mrs. Fay H. May and son Stanley Stan-ley of Salt Lake City spent the Labor Day week end with her sister, Mrs. Geneva II. Gillies. Mrs. Freeda Butler of Boulder City, Nevada, Kenneth H. Gillies and Mrs. Kathrine G. Simpson and families spent the week end here with ther parents. Mr. and Mis. Ervin Green of Salt Lake City have been here visiting Mrs. Green's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Piatt. |
