Show University of Utah Theatre Plans Play Program The University of Utah Theatre Thea-tre will present a series of plays characterized by comedy, brilliance bril-liance and dramatic Interest this season, Gail Plummer, manager, announces. Director of theatre, C. Lowell Lees, will open the major season on Oct. 6 with "Mister Roberts" by Thomas Heggen and Joshua Logan, which is said to be the funniest corned of the American stage. "I Remember Mama" by John van Druten will be the second sec-ond on the series, which will star Lila Eccles Brimhall in the title role. The third attraction will be "Calliope," pre-Broadway opening, written by Robert Hyde Wilson, Utah dramatist. William Shakespeare's greatest great-est comedy, "The Tempest," will be presented as the eleventh annual an-nual Shakespearean play. As on Broadway, so it is in Utah, William Wil-liam Shakespeare has proven to be the biggest box office attraction. attrac-tion. A Broadway hit, "The Country Coun-try Girl," written by Clifford Odets, will be presented In March. Another outstanding selection se-lection will be presented for the Spring Festival. As yet, a definite selection is still pending. For the second year the very popular University Theatre Ballet directed direct-ed by William Christensen will climax the season.
