Show Hunters Purchase 500 Deer Permits In Two Days of Sale There were enly 102 permits left out of the 600 which were offered of-fered for sale on the Parowan unit No. 57 on Wednesday morning morn-ing after only a little more than two days of ale, it was announced an-nounced by Mrs. Berta Burton, who has charge of the sale of the permit for the special and post season deer hunts in the area. On the Paragonah-Cottonwood district where 300 permits were offered for the special hunt, only 71 were left on Wednesday morning morn-ing with the sales being about half to Utah hunters and half to out-of-state people, according to Mr. Burton. The 150 permits offered for the Parowan district of the unit, Were all sold by mid Morning of the second day of the sale, with 100 of the permits going to out-of-town hunters and 50 to local citizens. cit-izens. Both of these hunts will run concurrently with the regular season, Oct. 17 to 27 and will be for deer of either sex. Of the 150 permits offered for sale for the post season hunts (week ends), 31 were left on Wednesday morning with many local hunters preferring these permits, Mrs. Burton states. These hunts will be held on four week ends, Nov. 14-15, Nov. 21-22, Nov. 28-29 and Dec. 5-6. This will also be an either sex hunt. |
