Show Eugene T.Voolf loins C. S. U. Faculty 1 . - i ' i i ' . v ,-, ; i A :r C ; X f Announcement was made this week of the appointment of Eugene Eu-gene T. Woolf to the teaching staff of the English department of the College of Southern Utah. Mr. Woolf, 30, a former resident of Salt Lake City, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Woolf of that city. A graduate of South high school, he received his BA degree in English Eng-lish at the University of Utah in 1947; and in 1949 he was awarded award-ed his MA degree by that institution. insti-tution. In the fall of 1949 he entered en-tered Stanford University to pursue pur-sue his studies for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. In 1950, Mr. Woolf, who is a veteran of World War II, was called into military service to serve in the Korean conflict. He was a member of the 653rd Field Artillery Observation Battalion, a National Guard organization of Salt Lake City. Upon his release from military service in 1952, Mr. Woolf returned re-turned to Stanford to continue his studies toward his degree. In the spring of 1953 he moved his family to Cedar City where he became associated with the Iron County Record. He will continue his affiliation with the publishing publish-ing company while teaching at the college. Mrs. Woolf is the former Leslie Les-lie Rollo of this city. The couple have three sons. |
