Show Bert Keele Given Military Funeral I Funeral services for Bert Keele, prominent brick mason and contractor con-tractor of Cedar City, were held in the first ward chapel Friday, Sept. 4. Mr. Keele died Sunday, Aug. 31 of coronary thrombosis following an illness of approximately approx-imately two hours. A military funeral was held in honor of Mr. Keele, who served with the United States Army in France during World War II. Services were under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Parson U. Webster of the Cedar City First ward. The services were as follows: Advance of Colors by American Legion Post No. 74. Quartet, composed of C, Wm. Macfarlane, Mamie Eck, Lois Mc-Connell Mc-Connell and Ray Cosslett, sang "Flower Land." They were accompanied ac-companied by Beth Leigh. Invocation, Mr. Macfarlane. A talk by Bishop Adam Seeg-miller. Seeg-miller. Vocal solo, "Resignation," by Mr. Cosslett, accompanied by Mrs. Leigh. A talk by Lorenzo Luke. Vocal solo, "I have Done My Work," by Alice Williams, accompanied ac-companied by Bernella Jones. A talk by Charles R. Hunter. Remarks by Bishop Webster. Quartet sang "Lead Me Gently Home Father." Retiring of the colors by the American Legion. Benediction by Merl Gibson. Dedication of the grave was by S. F. Leigh. Prior to the services a family prayer, given by George W. Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, was held at the funeral home. |
