Show Social Security Ret Amendment Benefits Survivors "A number of survivors of workers who died between July 1, 1910, and August 31, 1950, have apparcnUy neglected to apply for social security benefits which the new law now makes payable. pay-able. In making this announcement,! Mr. Charles W. Feldhauser, of the Richfield social security office, pointed out that the 1934 amendments amend-ments to the Social Security Act greatly reduce the amount of social security credit the worker had to have to allow payment in such cases. The amendments provided that a worker who died between those two dates is now considered fully Insured if he had six quarters of coverage. This will allow payments pay-ments to be made to many young widows with children under 18, or older widows over C3 who were denied benefits when their husband hus-band died because they did not have enough credit under the law in effect at that time. Mr. Feldhauser wil be at the Utah State Employment Service in Cedar Citv, Utah on August 16,. from 9:00 a. m. until 12:00 noon and from 1:00 p. m. until 3:00 p. m. Anyone Interested in contacting him may do so at that time. |
