Show lose Iturbi to Open Utah Symphony Orchestra Season The Utah Symphony's lGth season sea-son will get under way on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Nov. 2, with Jose Iturbi as guest soloist, according to David S. Romney, managing director di-rector of the symphony. The 1955-56 season will include 10 conccfts and will conclude March 20. Maurice Abravanel, conductor and musical director, will be back for his ninth season sea-son and all indications point to "one of the greatest seasons we have ever had," reports Mr. Romney. Rom-ney. Tickets for the 1953-56 season are now on sale at the Utah Symphony office and at Bennett's at 55 West First South. "There is a substantial saving by securing secur-ing season tickets," reports Mr. Romney, "and in addition season ticket holders have their choice of the seats." Season tickets' can be secured for as low as one dollar per concert. Three sections also are being reserved re-served for students at speciaj low prices. Mr. Romney points out, also, ' that tickets may be reserved now and paid off on an installment plan. Advance sales have been "fairly good" to date he reports. |
