Show Heber Gurr Succeeds Garry Bentley lis Legion Post Chief Heber Gurr, Chief Warrent Officer Of-ficer in the 213th National Guard unit, was named as commander of the Parowan Post of the American Amer-ican Legion at the annual election elec-tion meeting of the post held last Friday, Gurr will succeed Garry Bentley, who has served as post commander during the past year. Other newly elected officers of the post are Albert E. Adams, first vice commander, Bain Math-son, Math-son, second vice commander; Rajph Orton vill .succed him Ralph Orton was re-elected as post adjutant; Kent Mitchell, finance fi-nance officer; Herman E. Bayles, chaplain; Whitney Orton and Homer Adams, sergeants-at-arms, and W. Clair Rowley, re-elected as service officer. Retiring officers of the post besides be-sides Bentley, are Eugene Orton. first vice commander; Earl F. Skougard, second vice commander; comman-der; Lyle Halterman, finance officer; of-ficer; Victor Robinson, chaplain; Reed Orton and Jack Dalton, Jr. sergeants-at arms. |
