Show PUBLIC FORUM J AS I SEE IT You know that politics are always al-ways in the air, and that it is always al-ways a favorite topic to either quarrel or shout about, but after the great storm either way, and we all take slock of what has happened, we then realize the good or damage we have done. Now I see where our President Presi-dent said if the Republicans will do what he tells them they will be in power for a long time. Isn't it funny; I just didn't know that we had had such a change. For more than 30 years the good Republican party didn't believe in a free trade anywhere, but they stood for a fair trade to protect pro-tect our American labor, and all of our industries which pay the taxes and riake America click. Of course President Eisenhower has kept us from war which Is a wonderful thing even though our farming and livestock business went with it. Isn't it funny, the steel industry raised the laborers labor-ers wages and guaranteed them an annual wage, yet they raised the price of steel to the public. If our farmers or livestock men lose their crops through drought or some of the 100 different ways, such as bugs or pests, they have to stand it alone. As I see it, speaking of bugs and pests, I think the ones that are doing the most damage to our livestock and farming industries indus-tries are located in Washington, and that up to date we haven't found the insecticide to control them. Clarence Lamoreaux P. S. I see where some local yo-cal yo-cal helped me out last week by writing an article about the little league ball pjayers. I am very much in accord with him, but I think that he should get his own title for his articles. Then sometime some-time I may not agree with what ha uritP5 nnrl T think that he should at least sign his name. |
