Show BYUPresident To Address Institute Grads Dr. Ernest L. Wilkinson, president presi-dent of Brigham Young University Univer-sity will deliver the address to graduates of the L D S Institute of Religion at services to be held at the College of Southern Utah library-auditorium Sunday evening, eve-ning, May 22. Announcement of the graduation gradua-tion program was released this week by Paul Felt, director. These exercises will also serve as baccalaureate bac-calaureate services for the college, col-lege, and the public is cordially invited to attend. An outstanding program has been arranged for the event as follows: The graduates will march In to the accompaniment of Bernella Jones at the organ. A string ensemble consisting of Professor R. L. Halversen, Carol Ann Parry, Richard Webster, Laurena Jones, Marilyn Halver-son, Halver-son, and Alan Seegmiller will furnish the music for the evening. eve-ning. 'Dale Workman has been chosen to give the address of welcome, and Jane Rae Fuller will represent the graduating class with a speech on the subject sub-ject of "My Testimony." After the presentation of the diplomas by President Elvvood J. Corry, president of Cedar Stake, and a song, "I know That My Redeemer Lives," by Virginia Rose, George Williams, Jr. will present the graduates' gift to the Institute. They have chosen to leave a set of the Standard Works of the Church for the pulpit. The prayers will be offered by Barton Chase and Barbara Grimshaw. Grim-shaw. Four names were excluded from the list of graduates from the Institute In last week's Iron County Record. They were Ruth-ell Ruth-ell Lamoreaux, James Parry, Patricia Pa-tricia Jane Petty and Sharon Robb, all of Cedar City. |
