All children In the first and second grades, with the exception excep-tion of a few who did not receive permission tor the shots from their parents, have received the first shot of the vaccine. Upon the arrival of the serum for the second shot series, Miss Ford Indicated that letters to all parents will bo sent out notifying notify-ing them of when and where the shots will be given. The second shot, which should give immunity, immuni-ty, will be given as rapidly as possible. When the shots by the Foundation Foun-dation for Infantile Taralysis were r.tupped a few parents in the area decided against having their children vaccinated; however, how-ever, the number was very few, Miss Ford said, and the shots have been given to 90 per cent of the children. |
