Show ! KANARRAVILLE HEWS ! The P-TA and our school gave a program and square dance on Friday, including a food sale and fishing pond. A radio was given away and Mrs. Berneice Davis held the lucky number. After Af-ter all expenses they cleared almost al-most $105. The parents and the children furnished the food for the sale and all who attended reported a very enjoyable time. The rrimary officer, teachers and children made a trip to the St. George Temple Saturday and1 were baptized a total of 128 times. Jim Cornelius and Ray- mond Davis performed the baptisms. bap-tisms. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Berry and children have returned home from California where they spent several weeks because of Mrs. Berry's heart. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Parker of Cedar City wore Monday visitors visit-ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Davis. Evan Reeves, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves, who has been home on a 30 day leave, left yesterday yes-terday to return to his camp. He was accompanied to Las Vecas by his brother, Boyd, and a friend, Eugene Ilellend of Cedar City. Evan took a plane from Las Vegas and will fly to Camp Kilmer, Kil-mer, N. J. en route to Germany, where he has been assigned. Mrs. Thora Davis of Las Vegas is here visiting with some of her children and her mother, Maria Ford, and other relatives. The Aaronic Priesthood, ac-j ac-j companled by Bishop Alton Ford, ! attended an outing last Saturday at Silver Reef and Oak Grove. The Aaronic Prieshood quorums also gave the program at Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday. Albert Albertson of Cedar City, member of the Cedar Stake High Council, was in attendance at all meetings of the Kanarra-ville Kanarra-ville Ward Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Williams and children of Henderson, Nev. were visitors here over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Williams were business visitors In Salt Lake City for a few days. Many of our townspeople attended at-tended the graduation exercises of the High School Seminary on Sunday evening In Cedar City. Several of our young people were among the graduates. Clayton Davis spent a few days in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nev. with relatives. |
