Show Home Nursing Course Receives Good Local Support Mrs. A. C. Hatch announces that Red Cross Home Nursing schools have been held very successfully suc-cessfully in this end of the county coun-ty recently. She states that two classes have been held in recent weeks in Enoch in which 28 ladies la-dies of Enoch and Midvalley have completed the course prescribed pre-scribed by the American Red Cross which sponsors the program pro-gram on a nationwide basis. A class is now being held here in Parowan according to Mrs. Hatch, in which 15 persons are enrolled, four of whom are girls from the Parowan High School. The classes which were recently recent-ly completed at Enoch were taught by Rhetta Decker, Mary O. Topham, Aleen Orton and Sara Dean Smith, in two groups, and the class now being held in Parowan Par-owan Is being taught by Mrs. Orton and Mrs. Smith. These ladies la-dies are certified nurses' aids and do all of this work under the direction of the local Red Cross organization with no pay of any kinds. Mrs. Hatch states that there are now 149 persons in eastern Iron County who have completed the home nursing course, consisting of women and girls from Enoch, Summit. Parowan and Paragonah. Paragon-ah. While their training Is primarily pri-marily to prepare them for service ser-vice during any emergency that might arise, thev are also used In the regular visits of the Red Cross bloodmoblle to the local area.
