Show Nielson Paces Broncos fltWeberMeet Bud Nielson, individual star of the College of Southern Utab track and field team, posted two wins in the high and low hurdle events at the Intermountaln Collejiate Athletic Conference meet held at Ogden Friday, to lead the Broncos to third place behind Ricks College of Rex-burp. Rex-burp. Ida., and Northwest Naza- rene. In addition to his two first places, Nielson ran 220 yards on the S80 iclay team, which finished finish-ed first. A fourth first place was garnered by John Wood in the hig'i jump. Wood cleared the bar at six feet throe inches. He also was on the 880 relay team and he placed third In the pole vault. . Northwest Nazarene proved to be the "fly in the ointment" for the Broncos. Particularly in the sprint events the NNC placed men ahead of Bill Meador and Don L. Rasmussen to garner points that the Broncos had hoped hop-ed to bring home with them. In all likelihood the NNC boys "robbed" the Broncos of winning the ICAC meet this year, according accord-ing to Bruce Osborne. Hamblin of Ricks won both the 100 and the 220 yard dashes, dash-es, but Meador, who was expected ex-pected to finish in the top bracket brac-ket was forced to fourth place in the 220 and fourth In the 100 yard dash.
