Davis Within a few hours after deer season opened Saturday five fine buck deer were brought in from Kanarra mountain by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Delile Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Williams and Kemp Spencer of Cedar City. Many of the other hunters have been successful suc-cessful in getting their deer. Many out of town peopje are here for the hunt and to visit with relatives and friends. Glade A. Berry was called to Salt Lake City Sunday evening because of the serious illness of his father, George A. Berry, who is in a hospital there. Mr. Berry has been in poor health for some time. Miss Bessie Davis is spending a few days in Venice, Sevier County, visiting with relatives. Mrs. Marva Prince and children child-ren Deanna and Roland, spent Sunday with her mother, Hannah A. Dennis. Ken Esplin, son of Mr. and Mrs. BUI Esplin, has .returned home after a two year mission for the LDS church. He was the speaker in Sacrament meeting Sunday. James Loren Robinson was also a speaker in Sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Davis and small daughter from Dalles, Oregon, Ore-gon, are here for a week's visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Davis. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Williams were Mr. and Mrs. Blaln Prisby and family fam-ily and Eldon Clifford Tame of Midvale, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Ervln Williams have as their guests, Mrs. Williams' Wil-liams' mother Mrs. Douglas, her brother Louis and sister Cordia Quinn. George Chamberlain and Chas. Stuart of California, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Williams of Henderson! Nev.; EarJ Secrist and son Dennis and Art Secrist of Long Beach, California, were visitors this week at the home of Amanda Williams. Mrs. Vaughn Isom enjoyed a visit with her son Merlin, who has been In the veterans hospital in Salt Lake City for some time, also another son, Billie, and wife of Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Gary PoUock and children and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Clay-ton Woodbury of Las Vegas and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pollock and children of Payson were visitors with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hartley Woodbury. Mrs. Maud Robinson has returned re-turned home after a visit in California Cal-ifornia with some of her children. She was accompanied on her return re-turn by her son James Loren Robinson, Ro-binson, who will leave soon on an LDS mission in the southern states. Mr. Robinson was called from the Belvedere ward in California Cali-fornia where he has been living. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Birch of Price were visitors with Mrs. Birch's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pollock. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Davis and children Marie and Sammy, and Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Davis of Las Vegas were here for a few days. Mrs. Dorothy Stucki and children child-ren of Cedar City spent Saturday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Williams. Mrs. Golda Michaele and baby of Salt Lake City and Mrs., Mary Lyle Judd and girls of Cedar City visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Piatt. Rowen WiUiams and Lavar Stapley were home for a few days from Moab where they have employment. Max Williams of Los Angeles spent several days here visiting with his father, Ren Williams, and other relatives. |
