Show Serviceman Wins Reward for Meritorious Service Oakland, Calif Gene N. Stewart, Stew-art, hospital corpsman third class, USN, receives a commendation commen-dation for his outstanding service serv-ice while assigned to the staff personnel office at the Naval hospital here. Rear Admiral J. O. Owsley, Medical Corps, USN, makes the presentation Sept. 30. Stewart is the son of Mrs. Harriet B. Stewart of Cedar City. The commendation read in part: "Your duties, which consisted con-sisted of maintaining current entries en-tries in enlisted service records' and accomplished the 'paper work' necessary for transferring many staff enlisted personnel to other stations, were performed in an exemplary manner. Your diversified di-versified knowledge of personnel work enabled you to assume any desk in the office on a moment's notice without disrupting the normal functioning of the personnel person-nel office. Your willingness to work beyond regular working hours has demonstrated a devotion devo-tion to your work beyond the call of duty." He has been transferred to duty aboard the attack transport USS Navarro. Before entering thte service he was graduated from Cedar City High School. |
