Show CEDAR CITY HIGH SCHOOL REPORT HI Friends: The Rollln' Redmen continued to roll as they defeated the Dixies Dix-ies Flyers 32 to 0. A large crowd was' on hand in the Dixie Sun Bowl to witness the victory for the Redmen. Our smart, sharp, high-stepping band, under the direction of Mr. Helland, put on a halftime show that added much to the game. They, along with the team, brought much recognition and many compliments to the school. The following Is the news from this week's meeting of the Student Stu-dent Council: A suggestion was presented by Bob Clark, the representative from the shop class, to buy a set of tools for the organizations to use for various reasons. These tools, when purchased, would be placed In a central spot, where anyone could use them when they needed to. After the tools were returned, If some of them were missing, that club that used them last would have to replace them. This Idea was passed upon unanimously, and will be carried car-ried out In the near future. The biggest probjem on the agenda was concerning the emblem emb-lem on the Junior jackets. Many council members' thought that the athletes of our school should be the only ones to wear a block "C" on their Jackets, while anyone any-one could wear the Indian head. It was decided to contact the coaches and come to a decision about this ever-present problem. Friday at noon, five students from CHS will leave for B Y U in Provo to attend a journalism convention there. This convention conven-tion will help solve the problems of putting out a school paper and a yearbook. Those representing Cedar High are; May Vonna Whatcott, Marie Beck, and Dale Buhanan from the yearbook staff; Shirlene Tait and Dennis Colbert . from the school paper staff. We hope these students will gain some Important Import-ant knowledge at this convention, conven-tion, and are able to put it in use after they return.
