Show Local Citizen Provides Background Data for Best Seller On occasions we have the privilege priv-ilege of running across some information in-formation on local residents that is not generally known but very worthy of note. Such is the case on a bit of information just recently re-cently received regarding Mrs. Lee (Belle) Empey. We understand that Mrs. Empey Em-pey and her brother, John Fitzgerald, Fitz-gerald, are co-authors of a recent re-cent best selling novel entitled "Papa married a Mormon." The book has already been sold to two "Book of the Month Clubs" and several movie offers, Including Includ-ing one by Gregory Peck, have been received. Mrs. Empey was principally concerned with research on the manuscript spending nearly three years compiling the information, infor-mation, it is understood. The novel Is currently appearing appear-ing in McCalls magazine. Mr. Fitzgerajd, in connection with the book, will appear in Los Angeles on the radio program pro-gram "Cavalcade of Books," on November 13. He will appear on a similar program In New York City two days later, November 15. |
