Two Lions Taken By Local Men In Parowan Canyons John S. Dalton, local hunter and livestockman, was successful success-ful in taking two grown mountain moun-tain lions during the Christmas week, one of which was a huge male that measured almost eight feet from tip to tip and which weighed 165 pounds. This animal was taken by Mr. Dalton with the aid of his dogs in the Dry Canyon area over the divide from the Five mile camp. The female lion was taken a day or two later by Mr. Dalton in company with Garth Gilger and Jay George, the latter of Para-gonah, Para-gonah, and their dogs, in the mountains west of the Parowan Main canyon.
