Show Junior High School Students Give Gift to Polio Victim Students of the Cedar City junior jun-ior high school, with the cooperation coop-eration of the Elks club captureu the spirit of Christmas season, last week when they presented a typewriter to Delroy Lunt, a polio po-lio stricken student at the school. Delroy is the son of Mrs. Al-vin Al-vin Lunt of Cedar City. The typewriter type-writer was presented to Delroy on Christmas as a gift from the school to assist him in his fight to recover from the dreaded disease. dis-ease. The junior high school has adopted a policy to give a worthwhile worth-while gift to some deserving student stu-dent each year to take the place of exchange gifts programs normally nor-mally held in the school sistem. Fifteen cents to 25 cents is coi lected in cash to purchase thec gifts each year rather than for small exchange presents. The Cedar Elks lodge contributed contrib-uted the remaining funds necessary neces-sary after the collection had been made by the school to purchase the typewriter. Delroy, a polio victim, is unable un-able to walk without the aid of crutches. |
