Show Former Local School j Superintendent Accepts Foreign Post N. J. Barlow, former superintendent superin-tendent of Iron County schools, has accepted a position with the Institute of Inter-American Af fairs under the Point-Four program pro-gram as technical director of rural rur-al education in Nicaragua, I; has reported. Mr. Barlow left Iron county tc accept the position of assistant Utah State Superintendent ot Public Instruction, and for the past two years has been director of education for New Mexico, and was a member of the study commission com-mission of chief school administrators adminis-trators of the United States. He was super.ntendent of Iron county coun-ty schools for 20 years prior to 1914. For the past year he has served as a member of the National Na-tional Study Commission's Planning Plan-ning committee, studying state education departments throughout through-out the country. During his six-year tenure as assistant superintendent of public pub-lic instruction in Utah, Mr. Barlow Bar-low was one of the organizers and a former chairman of the Rocky Mountain conference on rural education and served as state chairman of the conference from the time of its Inception until he left the state two years ago. |
