Petenson, President of the Association. He calls attention to the fact that for the past two years, Utah bred cattle cat-tle have shown their superiority throughout all the western states, having won more top places in the Hereford Classes In major western shows than breeders from any other state. He cites as an example the recent Ogden Livestock Show where! bulls shown by the Snow Hereford Ranch at Ferron, won the championship cham-pionship In a pen of three and broke an all time record in the auction sale having sold In a group for $2000 per head; and the Grand Champion Steer, shown by Dee Wlnterton of Wlnterton Bros., of Hamas, Utah. The Utah Hereford Association will also conduct sales In Cedar City, February 19. 1948 and Richfield Rich-field on February 21. 1948. |
