Show A Job For Cedar City Civic Clubs on Highway 89 in Utah and on Highway 93 in Nevada seem to be taking the lead in their efforts to direct traffic into their respective localities, and their activities acti-vities are direct challenge to communities com-munities and organizations on Highway High-way 91. In the past three weeks the Richfield Rich-field Chamber of Commerce ' has placed two ottractlve signs at Levan In an attempt to direct travel onto Highway 89, and Nevada organizations organiza-tions have taken similar action to attract the travel onto Highway 93 leading through Nevada to Salt Lake City. There Is nothing wrong with these organizations promoting their localities, lo-calities, but certainly it is up to the Highway 91 people to counteract such advertising, by doing some of their own.. If there are no signs or advertising directing the traffic onto 91, there is no reason to believe be-lieve that the traveler will come this way. Cedar City should take the lead in a campaign to protect its interest inter-est in the traveler, and every town along the highway should cooperate cooper-ate wholcheatedly in any such program. |
