Instead, they prefer to stick to a 31-year-old steam thresher which, they Insist, will stack up for speed and performance against any of the present-day models. Christopher Groen, engineer who has worked on the rig for 10 years, says the hazards which largely brought about new methods of threshing do not exist "when you stay on the Job and tend to your business." The old-time outfit Is owned by a cooperative unit organized 31 years ago. W. C. Dickinson, present chairman, chair-man, has been a member of the group for 30 years. |
