Show Co. Commissioners Draw Up Tentative Budget For 1948 The Board of Iron County Commissioners Com-missioners at its meeting Monday set the tentative budget of expenditures expend-itures for the year 1948 at $225,386.-73, $225,386.-73, to be used in all funds of the county. A copy will be on file in the County Clerk's office for anyone to examine, and a hearing will be held before the budget is adopted. The total set for 1948 Is 117,558.83 more than the $207,827.88 budget for the year 1947. The budget for the General Fund is set at $56,975, an increase of $5,758.30 over the present year, the increase resulting mostly from Increases In-creases in salaries of county employees em-ployees and expenses of county officers, of-ficers, made necessary because of prevailing inflationary conditions. The tentative budget includes Increases in the hospital fund, indigent in-digent fund, and county road fund, while there Is a decrease in the library fund, and no appropriation is made at all for the Publlo Welfare Wel-fare fund, due to a change Is taxing tax-ing laws. This year $13,881.49 was budgeted for the latter, fund, Th tentative budget carries the following totals for the various funds, with the 1947 budget in parenthesis. par-enthesis. General Fund, $56,973.00 ($51,218.70). County Indigent Fund, $3,252.76 ($2,303.08). County Hospital and Old Folks Home, $102,398.00 ($89,841.30).
