Show ! Elks Lodge Holds Regular Business Session Wednesday Members of the Cedar Elks Lodge voted to contribute $100 toward the purchase price of the new Iron lung which was recently installed at the Iron County hospital, at the regular business meeting of the lodge held Wednesday evening. Other business matters disposed of Included the authorization of the purchase of a new set of steel spring chairs for the hall which are to be Installed in the very near future, and the decision to commence a library to which all members were asked to contribute books. Dave Webster was given the responsibility of having the necessary shelves to hold the books erected. Following the business meeting, the Lady Elks entertained the members mem-bers present with a short but interesting in-teresting program. Mrs. Glen Heaton conducted the program which consisted con-sisted of two songs by three young pupils of Mrs. Beth Leigh, a short talk in which World War I was compared with World War II given by Alex H. Rollo, a comical reading by Otto Fife, two solos by Miles Walker and community singing. |
