Show Associated Civic Clubs To Meet In St. George April 26 St. George has been selected as the city for the monthly meeting of the Associated Civic Clubs o' Southern South-ern Utah on April 26, it was announced an-nounced this week by President Henry H. Jones of Helper. Washington Wash-ington county director J. L. Wads-worth Wads-worth will head the committee on arrangements and will be assisted by other chamber of commerce and civic officials. On the program for the afternoon after-noon session starting at 2:30 p. m. will be Val D. Hicks, a vice-president of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce, and a representative re-presentative of the states livestock interests yet to be named. Both will discuss matters of Interest and importance to the citizens of the state. Other Important subjects on the docket will be the 1941 advertising program and a plan to take advantage ad-vantage of any possible defense industries in-dustries that might be established In the state. The use of alunlte and Utah rock asphalt are thought to have possibilities in this line along with other mining and manufacturing manufac-turing enterprises. Directors of the Associated Civic Clubs will meet in executive session at 10 a. m. and the 2:30 p. m. session ses-sion will be open to members, guests and visitors. |
