Show TO FAMILIES OF SERVICE MEN: We are writing to let you know that the loved one whom you have seen depart for military service has taken with him to camp a helpful friend-the American Red Cross. Wherever he has gone, he will find a Red Cross Field Director who is there to advise and assist him in any personal or welfare problem which may arise. The Red Cross also extends to you and to your family here at home its services in the solution of any problem which may be worrying you. The Red Cross, you know, was created by act of Congress and empowered empow-ered to act in all personal and welfare matters both for men in the service and their families at home. Thus, it is an authorized government agency and as such it can be of great assistance to you in any problem pro-blem which may arise out of the fact that you have sent a loved one to the service of his country. Wm. R. Palmer is in charge of this work for the local chapter. He would be very glad to have you get in touch with him if the time comes when you need advice ad-vice or assistance with any problem concerning your boy of your family. Cordially yours, HENRY OBERHANSLEY, Chairman, Iron County Chapter, American Red Cross. |
