Show Newcastle The church beautification program pro-gram has been observed here to the extent of 400 new shade trees having been planted around the church under the direction of the bishopric. Easter Sunday was not extensively extensive-ly observed here due to the cold and stormy weather. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hartman and son Larry Brent are visitors in Newcastle. Mr. Hartman recently sustained a painful injury to his left foot while working In a mine at Ploche, Nevada, which has necessitated neces-sitated his laying off work for a few weeks. Bishop Kumen Gardner received a badly mashed foot when a horse stepped on it while Mr. Gardner was working on his farm. , Miss Mary Piatt, who Is teaching teach-ing school at Paragonah, spent Easter Sunday at home. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Harrison and children and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Harrison of Payson, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Harrison of Cedar City spent Easter Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Thomas of Modena spent Easter Sunday visiting visit-ing with Mr, and Mrs. A. C. Chrls-tensen. Chrls-tensen. Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Hulet and Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Beacham spent last Wednesday working In the L. D. S. Temple at St. George. |
