Show Virgin Grazing District Holds Board Meeting The Advisory Beard of. Virgin Grazing District No. 4 met In Cedar City Monday and Tuesday of this week. Approximately 1100 applications applica-tions for grazing permits for the year 1941 were considered by the Board which consists of the following follow-ing members: Joseph B. Dalton, Parowan; Thomas A. Topham, Paragon Par-agon ah; Webster Leigh, Cedar City; Heber Harrison, and T. Wlllard Jones, Newcastle; A. P. Spllsbury, Toquervllle; Rex Frei, Ward Espltn and Bryon J. Lund, St. Oeorge; Ed Lamb, Mt. Carmel; G. B. McDonald, Mc-Donald, Kanab; and W. W. House, Pangultch. The Board also determined the opening and closing dates of the gTazing period on public domain in each of the 27 units comprising Virgin District. The Range Improvement program was discussed at some length by Grazier Ernest E. House. Durln; this year considerable study win be given to the setting up of water development projects which are of major importance in the Virgin District. It is also planned that additional ad-ditional reseedlng projects will be set up. all of which will be of material ma-terial benefit to the livestock operators operat-ors in the area. |
