Show Officers Elected, Talks Enjoyed By Rotarians Tuesday Henry Oberhansley was In charge of the program at the regular weekly week-ly luncheon meeting of the Cedar City Rotary club Tuesday, and In-troduced In-troduced as guest speakers Dr. W. L. Wanlass and N. A. Pedersea both of the U. S. A. C. at Logan. Dr. Wanlass talked on the national na-tional monetary system as it stands today and the danger of Inflation, dwelling at some length on the methods and measures being taken by the Federal Reserve System to offset the danger. Mr. Pedersen's discussion had to do with the at-tltude at-tltude of the people to the conditions condi-tions confronting the world today In which he advised them to keep optimistic and be prepared to back up anything pertaining to the defense de-fense of the democratic principles. On motion of Dr. J. W. Berg-strom. Berg-strom. A. C. Johnson, former Ro-tarlan Ro-tarlan and charter member of the local club, was reinstated. The annual election of officers which was also held at the Tuesday Tues-day meeting, resulted In the following follow-ing being chosen to handle the affairs af-fairs of the club for the coming year: president, Reld H. Gardner; vice president, Warren Larson; secretary, se-cretary, Robert H. Smith; treasurer, treasur-er, Clifford Ewing; and board members, mem-bers, John P. Egan and Arthur Hodge. Formal installation ceremonies cere-monies will be held at a later date. Special guests at the luncheon Included M. J. Urie, N. E. Beeman. district flight supervisor, and Paul W. Halrgrove, district ground supervisor su-pervisor of the C. A. A. |
