Show Woods Cross Hiqh Cat Chat the 2 1 st of April in our auditorium. Be there! To add to their claim to fame, the Dramacats will be sending three students to nationals this summer to compete. In humorous interp., Charlotte Wilcox and Jim Henderson Hender-son will represent our school and in dramatic interp., Shane Kirkham will be going. Good luck and congratulations! con-gratulations! On the 25th, there will be an instrumental in-strumental concert at 7:30 in the auditorium. We have previously had the fall and winter concerts, and this one is the spring concert. If this one is anything like the past ones, it will be fabulous. Come and enjoy! Just a reminder to those wonderful wonder-ful people who will be trying for an appointed studentbody office: the portfolios are due on the 27th before be-fore school starts. Be sure to get them in since the judging will take place during first and second period. Good luck! Stay tuned for further announcements pertaining to the new '88-89 officers. Starting on the 25th and ending on April 30, we will all be witnessing witnes-sing the best week of the year. Yes ! It is time for senior week! Get excited ex-cited and look forward to some fun activities planned by our senior class officers: Tammy Squires, Andrea LeCheminant, and Wendie Marchant. It's gonna be great! The highlights of the week will be the senior assembly on the 29th and senior ball on the 30th. Mark 'em on your calendars and get ready for action! Seniors rule!! Have a fine week! By JOANNA MOODY If you're seeing tan (or sunburnt) bodies walking around our school lately, never fear, those bodies have not been "fake-baking" but they are undoubtedly the people from our awesome choral department depart-ment who have just returned from sunny California! Besides putting on some great performances, the group made sure that they had lots of fun. (I mean hey! It would be stupid to go to Anaheim without going to Disneyland. Dis-neyland. Right?) Anyway, I would venture to say that the bus trip was about the most memorable experience experi-ence of all. Many of us can only begin to imagine how it would be to travel with a bus load of singers! Welcome home!! Our spring-time sports teams are heavily involved in practicing and in playing games (not Monopoly or Pictionary, but rather games of skill such as soccer, tennis, track, and baseball). We're proud of them all! If you are interested in a schedule sche-dule of the game times and places, check the calendar show-case in front of the office. State Drama will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of this month at the University of Utah. Since Woods Cross took first place in region, we know that they will do very well at state. The drama department's one-act "The Wingless Butterfly" was a smashing success. The judges at the region competition raved about the performance. Hol-le Hol-le Tibbits was awarded best actress, ac-tress, Larry Nelson received best actor, Elizabeth Harmer was named the best supporting actress and Bill Christensen was the best supporting actor. There was hardly a dry eye in the audience by the time the production produc-tion was finished. This play is a "must-see." The cast is scheduled to perform throughout the day on |
