Show Volunteers recognized The Davis County Council on Aging entertained with the 13th annual banquet of recognition for volunteers April 14. The event was held in the Canterbury Can-terbury Reception Center in Bountiful Boun-tiful with Helen Hough as master of ceremonies, chairman of the Coun-. cil on Aging Board of Directors. Harold J. Tippetts, commissioner, commission-er, gave the invocation. Following dinner, Wilford Hales introduced Doris Taggert, speaker and lecturer, who entertained. A tribute was given to the 160 volunteers in Davis County by William Wil-liam L. Peters, commissioner and member of the Council on Aging Board of Directors in Davis County. Special awards were presented to 15 volunteers who had served more than 400 hours in 1987. Receiving Re-ceiving special awards were Audrey Au-drey Burt, Eunice Calver, IlaCase, Jenny Cragun, Donna Edmunds, Emma Every, Victor Fisher, Kathryn Jennings, Lenarda John son, Edith Kretzschmar, John Perry, Per-ry, Almira Pitt, Jack Simmonds, Alberta Wick and Walter Willey. More than 145 volunteers served over 50 hours during the year and were presented certificates. Presenting the certificates were Wilford Hales, William L. Peters, Harold J. Tippetts, Glen E. Saunders Saun-ders and Lee Moss of the Council on Aging Board of Directors. The benediction was given by Glen E. Saunders, commissioner. A special "thank you" to the members of the Volunteer Services Committee was given Wilford Hales, chairman; Donna Rae and Myron Mabey, Donna and Melvin Edmunds, John Zippro, Howard Stringham, Lenarda Johnson, Charles Korogi, Gloria Ashbey, Joyce Frasier, Fredena Myers, Carol Lewis, Helen Hough and Alice J.
