"Red" Tingey will have an open house to honor their father on April 23 from 3-6 p.m. at his home, 504 S. 400 E. in Centerville. Red will be 80 years old April 25. "Red" was born to Joseph F. and Edith Drake Tingey in 1908. He had a brother Lewis, a half sister sis-ter Annie Phelps, and a half brother Thomas Tingey, all have passed away. In 1927 Allen married Maxine Cahoon from Woods Cross. She passed away Sept. 28, 1981. They nad seven children, all are still living. liv-ing. They are Joseph A., Anna Boulton, Rolland C, Colleen Potts, Steven L., Karen Sherwood and Margaret Burton. He also has 33 grandchildren, 62 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren step-grandchildren and 21 step-greatgrandchildren. Allen and Maxine also had foster children and helped many, all too numerous to mention. Allen retired from the Duel Creek Irrigation Co. in 1973 and ALLEN D. 'RED' TINGEY has enjoyed working in his yard and enjoying his family. Friends and relatives are invited to visit Allen at his home Saturday. No gifts please. |
