Show La Verkin Mrs. Alice Gubler Reporter Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Sanders and their son, Verl, returned home j Tuesday afternoon after having spent several days at the Widstoe home-coming celebration, .which was held at Pine Lake. They report re-port having had a very enjoyable time. Mrs. Arthur Woodbury spent four days in Cedar City as the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Orvil Isom. While there she attended the Cedar City rodeo. The Sanders brothers suffered a severe loss Saturday afternoon as a cloud burst came down near Kannarraville, where their Turkey herd was located for the summer. Approximately 3500 turkeys were killed in the storm which lasted for only a half an hour. Quite a bit of enthusiasm is being expressed over the dancing classes which are now under way here. Mr. and Mrs. Irvil Sanders and family made a week-end trip to Hinkley. Mrs. George Hardy and children spent two weeks on Cedar Mountain Moun-tain visiting with Mrs. Hardy's sister, Mrs. Leland Stout and family. The relief society held their work and business meeting Tuesday. Tues-day. There was a short program, rendered while the work group tied a quilt. Light refreshments were served. There were 31 members mem-bers present. The Misses. Mary. Ann Lamb and Marie Peterson of Cedar City, and Richard Dalley of Los Angeles, neices and nephew of Mrs. LaPrele Snow are guests at her home and the Walter C. Pace home this week. Richard Dalley has been visiting in Cedar City the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Finley M. Judd were St. George visitors last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bagley were guests two days of last week of their aunt, Mrs. Mary A. Perkins of this city. Miss Gertrude Frehner left last Saturday for California where she will enjoy a 10-day vacation. ;. M' and Mrs. E. W. Simmons I and children, Karma and Jimmie I returned Wednesday from Salt ; Lake City where they have been since Saturday. I Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Corrcy and child left Saturday for Los Angeles after a brief visit here with Mrs. Correy's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Macfarlane. Mrs. Corrcy Cor-rcy and baby will remain in Los ! Angeles for several weeks with ! her husband's parents. Her husband hus-band went on to Reno. Nov., where ' he is campaign manager for Sena- i tor Pat McCaren. i Miss Chyrrl Heat on is in Alton with relatives for a two week's visit. |
