Show Interest Shown In Commissioner Office As Tvo File From Enterprise l Filings and Rumors Indicate Plenty Of Competition For All Positions Coming Up Politics continue to be one of the main topics of conversation throughout the county as more candidates file and the politicians continue to urge candidates to come out for nomination. Enterprise Enter-prise takes the limelight this week with a designation being signed by 16 Democrats from that district being filed with the clerk in favor of Newell R. Frei for two-year commissioner on the Democratic ticket. Luther M. Terry, democrat, has also filed for this position from there. In backing Mr. Frei, the signers from that district say that they realize that he is now a resident of St. George, but they recognize his ability and feel that his years of living in Enterprise will have given him a sympathetic view on their problems and an understanding understand-ing of their needs. Mr. Terry is a successful ranch-stockman ranch-stockman with years of experience in the handling of money. His backers say thnt he is throughly familiar with their problems and those of the entire county. They also stress the fact that he is a resident in the district he represents. repre-sents. Mr. Iverson. Washington, has been a successful farmer, which rails for business ability, and has been a learler in church work, at the present he is P.ishop of the Washington ward. Mayor Miller Accept Mayor Albert E. Miller nailed in his official notice- that he would ncrej,t the nomination to represenf the Republican party for P.epre-sen'ative P.epre-sen'ative in the primary election. A petition of nomination had recently re-cently been filed with the Secretary Secre-tary of the State asking that he run for this nomination. In comment ing on his acceptance accept-ance of the nomination. Mr. Miller emphasized the fact it has always been his aim to "serve all of the people".
