Show Special Clinic Work Carried on at Ward Chape! Miss L. Bessendorfer reports special clinic work carried on in the South ward chapel in St. George August 10. Dr. Amos Christie, assistant professor of Pediatrics of the University Uni-versity of California is giving this entire week in clinic work to District No. 2 of Utah of which this county is a part. Miss Bessendorfer Bessen-dorfer and the physician regard the assistance of Doctor Christie as invaluable to this section. Sunday Doctor Christie met in Cedar City with the Southern Medical Society and lectured before be-fore them. In this clinic work he is giving consultation services in connection with local physicians for special and unusual diseases among children. During the clinic held here on August 10, the local physicians brought in and presented nine special cases and feel much has been gained in the services of Doctor Christie. His work is being especially commended by Dr. A. A. Jenkins, District No. 2 department of health officer. Miss Bessendorfer returned recently re-cently from her 14 months leave of absence from her work as county nurse of this division. During her leave she has been attending the University of Oregon Medical School at Portland, Ore., where she has completed her courses and received her certificate in Public Health Service. She comes back at this time to relieve Miss Mary Gerber, who returned to Salt Lake City Saturday. |
