Show Dixie Mart Building Now Used As Store House While the final consumation of the deal for the Dixie Mart building build-ing is pending the building is being used for the St. George stake church social security secur-ity center and warehouse. Practically Practi-cally every day the sewing room is actively in use and the three local wards are marshalling forces making up quilts and completing other necessary sewing. Flour, vegetables and canned goods are securely stored and the fuel supply sup-ply now on hand, coming mostly from the Mt. Trumbull district will be sawed and taken to the center shortly, is the opinion of those in charge. All of these supplies sup-plies have been previously stored on the personal property of the local business manager, B. Jarvis Jr. With this transfer of the supplies sup-plies to the Dixie Mart building Mr. Jarvis has been re-elected as business manager for the stake security center. In order to be more accessible for his work in this respect he has rented the quarters in the Mart building formerly for-merly occupied by the grocery department de-partment and has moved his radio service business there. He reports that the canning project of the church security program pro-gram for this section will be set ia motion this week-end, according accord-ing to present plans. To meet this need they have installed one 24x40 inch retort for pressure cooking. This will materially facilitate the canning work, having a capacity of 200 cans to the cooking. This means a possibility of 400 to 600 cans per hour. |
