Show Responsibility Of Clerk's Office Recognized Clair S. Terry, applicant for the nomination to the office of clerk and auditor of Washington county on the Democratic ticket, recognizes recog-nizes the fact that the increased responsibilities of the public officer of-ficer of the present day requires efficiency in preparation as a principal asset. Without any undue un-due flaunting of facts he recites the following statements as a foundation on which his aspirations aspira-tions to this office are based: A native of St. George, he had early in life a desire to equip himself for this type of work and he has found deep satisfaction therein. He became a graduate of the California Califor-nia commercial college school of accounting and business administration adminis-tration in 1928. This was followed by one year of public accounting and auditing experience a sort of ana auumns " - : internship in his chosen profession. He next spent six years as chief accountant and office manager for the Insurance Company of North America in Los Angeles. Since January 1, 1937, he has been employed in the office of the Washington County Treasurer and he expresses his appreciation for the associations resulting from this position. Those sponsoring the application appli-cation of Mr. Terry for the position posi-tion of clerk and auditor maintain main-tain the fact that from the tri-score tri-score viewpoint education, training train-ing and experience, he could not be outclassed. Gus Pendleton returned Sunday from spending a week in Pine Vallev with his family. Mrs. Pendleton and their children came home Tuesday. Miss Jessie Anderson came home Wednesday from a 10-day visit at the Esplin ranch on the Arizona Strip. . . Mrs. Grant Harris entertained Tuesdav at a birthday party honoring her little daughter Elaine, at the home of Mrs. May Harris.
