Show Rockviile Mrs. Pluletus Jones Reporter Mr. and Mrs. John Swartzbough and daughter, Lorraine, of Orange Calif., and Mrs. Charles Day of Long Beach, Calif., also the Misses Carma Hirschi and Ellen Jennings of Rockviile, who have been visiting visit-ing with them, came up the fore Part of the week to visit relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mahan and daughter, Pat, left for Bryce Canyon last Thursday to spend the next two weeks in connection with his work. Mrs. Gertrude and Mrs. Ida Hal-verstadt Hal-verstadt left for Salt Lake City last Friday. Mrs. Halverstadt is to visit her husband at Bingham and Mrs. Millett will visit her daughter. Miss Eldona Workman is visiting visit-ing with her father, Walter Workman Work-man at Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Dalton and children attended the American Legion activities last week-end at Cedar City. Joseph Farnes made a trip to Cedar City on Friday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Philetus Jones attended the American Legion parade also the fireworks. Saturday Satur-day evening, sponsored by the Shell Oil Co. Mrs. Waldon Ballard and Heber Hirschi and Afton Ballard attend: ed the American Legion convention conven-tion on Saturday. All those attending at-tending report the parade and fireworks fire-works as splendid. A number of our young people are employed at peach picking at the lower settlements. We are having some very good storms the past few days, with very little damage to ditches so far. Miss Janice Jones left for her home at Kanab on Thursday after a visit of 10 davs with relatives. Mrs. Alton Jones and daughter, Alyce, and Paul Crosby started for Grand Canyon to visit with her husband last Saturday, but were forced to return on account of a bridge washout beyond Fre-donia. Fre-donia. Austin Merriweather of Cedar City is visiting with Lorraine De-mill De-mill of Rockviile. |
