Show Washington Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes Reporter Eugene Cripps, who is employed at the Santa Anita race track in California, came home Wednesday. He was accompanied by three friends from California. From here they went to Puffer Lake where they enjoyed two days of fishing. They left for California Saturday, accompanied by Cleo Cripps. Mrs. Myrtle Prisbrey and daughter, daugh-ter, Connie, of Circleville, Utah, are visiting friends and relatives here. Mrs. Richard E. Prince, who has been in the hospital for the past two weeks, is home and getting get-ting along fine. Our WPA workers are building a road up on Kolob mountain this week. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stirling of Leeds were in town Saturday on business. Haven Paxman motored to Beaver Monday on business. Mrs. Frank Staheli, who has been on the sick list, is reported to be improving. Several of our children were taken to St. George Sunday to be baptised. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Turnbeaugh of St. George spent Monday visiting visit-ing their mother, Mrs. Margie Turnbeaugh. Harry Averett of St. George is visiting his mother, Mrs. Martha Averett. Neils Sandberg, who has been seriously ill, is on the road to recovery. He was teeing off. Three foursomes four-somes were waiting for him. His first powerful stroke missed the ball completely, the crowd winced in polite silence. Four times he swung and missed. The members of the crowd averted their eyes. The hapless player was not unaware of all this embarrassment. With a reassuring smile he faced them. 'Tough course," he said, and shook his head cheerfully as he addressed addres-sed the ball once more. |
