Show Sports News For the first time in American sports history an American corporation corpora-tion is creating a special center that will make available "state-of-the-art" bicycle design for United States amateur racers. The sophisticated new Bicycle Technical Development Center, recently opened in Dayton, Ohio, will design, develop and handcraft racing bicycles used by the United States Cycling team. This team represents the U.S. in international competition, including such events as the Pun American games and the 191)4 Olympics. Harry A. Shaw III, president and chief operating officer of Huffy Corporation, Cor-poration, the bicycle manufacturer that's behind the new Center says, "For the first time in U.S. history, it will be possible for American cyclists to ride Raleigh racing bicycles which have been specially designed, hand built and precision-tested to assure technological .superiority over equipment equip-ment used by the Kastcrn bloc nations, notably Fast Germany and Yugoslavia." |
