Show Horses poc!:e wins atf Foil Race AAeev in Vernal Happy Bylao made owner Powell and jockey Abegglen happy when it captured first place in the two year old 270 yard maiden race with a time of 14.8 in the Valley Roping Club sponsored spon-sored 4th annual Fall Race Meet in Vernal, Saturday at the Uintah County Coun-ty Fairgrounds. Mi Hancey, owned by Birchell and ridden by Murray, placed plac-ed second and Chicks Breeze, owned by Nebeker and ridden by Jensen, finished in third place. Bull Dogger, owned by Giles and ridden rid-den by Bond, snared top honors in the 3 year old and up maiden race in a time of 14.6. Miss Maza Mobile, owned own-ed by Hickey and ridden by Lamoreaux, placed second and Superstar Sox, owned by Wilkins and ridden by Jones, netted third place. Klutsies Pop, owned by Hogue and ridden by Bond, placed first in the 270 yard, quarterhorse maturity in a time of 14.1. Top Intentions, owned by Moon and ridden by Barter, garnered second place and Buster Chant, owned by Jensen and ridden by Jensen, placed third. Valley Roan, owned by Pierce and Swasey and ridden by Bond, placed first in the 270 yard race of two year old winner of one in a time of 14.7 and Breeze Blitz, owned by Birchell and ridden by Barter, placed second. Lucky Bang Bang, owned by Davis and ridden by Bond, garnered third place. Seven King's, owned by Firth and ridden by Jones, captured first place in the 38 mile race for maidens and winners of one in a tie of 37.2. Barbie Salute, owned by Hickey and ridden by Lamoreaux, placed second and Lil Miss Jet Set, owned by Murray and ridden by Murray, nabbed third place. Roany pocketed first place in the kids' pony race and the jockey was Cory Massey. Four Stay, ridden by J. D. Day, placed second and Amber Breeze, ridden by Terri Rust, nabbed third. Queenie Jay, ridden by Tina Phillips, placed fourth. Fleet Dun Went, owned by Pease and ridden by Barter, collected first place honors in the 42 furlong race for two year maidens at 36.2 and Lucky E Fist, owned by Rich and ridden by Jones, nabbed second. Ima Hopper, owned by Unzieker and ridden by Lamoreaux, finished in third place. Charlies Nevada, owned by Caldwell, placed first in the 42 open furlong race in a time of 36.1 and Col lector Fee, owned by Murray and ridden rid-den by Barter, placed second. Patch A Smoke, owned by Wilkins and ridden by Jones, captured third place. Chargin Mary, owned by Murphy and ridden by Bond, charged down the race track in a time of 14.9 for first place in the 270 yard two year old open race. Valley Roan, owned by Pierce and Swasey and ridden by Jensen and Haymakers Pride, owned by Gardiner and ridden by Andrews, finished in a dead heat and tied for second place. Real Pac, owned by Phillips and Gardiner and ridden by Barter, captured cap-tured first place in the 270 yard futurity futuri-ty race in a time of 14.4.
