Miller Wedding vows join Parkinson-Miller The wedding uniting Angela Parkinson Parkin-son and John Tuggey Miller was held on Aug. 11 in the St. James Catholic Church. The Very Rev. George F. Davich, Vicar General Diocese of Salt Lake City, was the officiant for the ceremony. Mrs. Roene DiFiore provided pro-vided the songs and music. Guest speakers were the couple's sister and brother, Mrs. Judy Lewis and Hans Parkinson, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hall. Ushers were Gene Hall, Nick Meagher and Bill Sweeney. The church was adorned with sprays of rose, burgundy and pink roses. White satin bows with rose inserts accented ac-cented the candelabras and pews. The bride was in a gown of silk organza with a long lace scalloped chapel train. The gown had an empire waist with a Princess Ann collar made of French lace, pearls and sparkle beads. The sheer lace sheeves were one-quarter bouffant accented with lace ruffles, then ran sleek to the wrist. The three-tiered veil was of bridal illusion il-lusion edged in scalloped design. It was appliqued with lace roses and was held by a tiara of lace and pearls. The material for the gown was sent from Germany, a gift from the bride's grandmother and aunt. The dress was made by the bride's mother. . Angela carried a cascading bridal bouquet of ivy, roses, stephanotis and baby's breath. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Nancy Hadlock. The bridesmaids were Judy Lewis, Terri Coon and Barbara Stacey. Their dresses were of rose pink and white tiered lace and each carried a white lace parasol accented with burgundy roses fixed in corsage fashion. The groom was attired in an all white formal tail tuxedo with satin lapels and bow tie. He wore a bouton-niere bouton-niere of burgundy rose buds and baby's breath. Attending the groom as best men were David Lewis and Hans Parkinson. Parkin-son. They were attired in burgundy tuxedos and bow ties. The father of the groom was also attired in a burgundy tuxedo. Both mothers of the couple wore dusty rose crepe dresses with chiffon capes and burgundy rose corsages. The wedding reception was held that evening in the garden of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Merrill. The garden was decorated with flowers, water fountains foun-tains and white cast iron furniture, featuring a lighted gazebo with a four-tiered four-tiered wedding cake inside. A lighted water fountain was placed in the center of the cake pillars. The table decorations were white macrame kissing kiss-ing balls accented with pearls, beads and roses made by the bride's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Merrill greeted the guests. Monte Eisenhart was at the guest book. Reba Hawkins and Colleen Martin were at the buffet table. Elaine Hall and Betty Hart assisted at the gift table. Also assisting were Margaret Phillips, Alicia Guttery, Kim Martin and Terri Kurtz. Gift bearers were Jennifer Scott and Brooke Burton. Bridal showers were given by Barbara Bar-bara Stacey and Elaine Hall and Terri Coon. The couple will honeymoon in Alaska and make their home in Ogden while attending Weber State College. |
