Show 3 accidents cause personal injuries Three accidents last week caused minor injuries to several persons in the Vernal area and kept emergency personnel busy. A two-car accident Friday at about 3:30 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Joe Ann Juarez, 18, of Vernal, exited the Smith's parking lot on west Highway 40 and struck a car driven by Opal Freeman, 55, Vernal. Both drivers were transported to Ashley Valley Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries. Extensive damage occurred to both vehicles. Juarez was cited for failure to yield. A motorcycle accident occurred Saturday at about 5 p.m. The motorcycle motor-cycle ran into the side of a south bound vehicle at 1500 West 620 North. A passenger on the motorcycle, Jeremy Hacking, suffered a broken leg and abrasions. His father, who was driving driv-ing the motorcycle also suffered some cuts and scrapes. Monday evening an accident in front of Motel Utah, 200 West Main, caused $2,500 damage to a vehicle driven by Diane Konvelski, 25, of Vernal. Police report that three cars were in the middle of the inside lane waiting to make a left turn. The last car, driving driv-ing by Konvelski, failed to stop, causing caus-ing $300 damage to the truck in front of the vehicle.
