The Bronco Dodgers and the Mustang Pirates placed first at 11-1. The Pony Dodgers nabbed first place at 12 wins and 4 losses. A 22 to 20 squeaker was won by the Pirates over the Yankees, May 18 and the Pirates dropped to 1-1 with a 9 to 6 loss tothe Angels, June 1. However, the Pirates recovered from the loss to the Angels as they won ten games in a row and placed first in the Mustang League. The Pirates thumped the Dodgers 19 to 1 June 4 and toppled the Mets 24 to 12 June 6. The Pirates downed the Cardinals Car-dinals 8 to 1 June 8 and nipped the Cubs 21 to 20 June 11. A 17-2 victory over the Giants was gained by the Pirates June 13 and the Pirates edged the Warriors 13 to 10 June 17. The Pirates bombed the Orioles 23 to 2 June 19 and blanked the White Sox 21 to 0 June 22. The Pirates downed the Dodgers due to a forfeit June 24 and crushed the Angels 14 to 1 June 26. Eleven games were won by the Dodgers before they suffered their first loss of the season to the Cubs 12 to 11 June 27. The Dodgers downed the Cardinals 14 to 7 May 9 and thumped the Pirates 15 to 4 May 14. The Dodgers edged the Yankees 12 to 10 May 19 and downed the Red Sox 12 to 7 May 29. The Dodgers edged the A's 7 to 4 June 3 and thumped the Braves 17 to 8 June 8. The Dodgers toppled the Giants 13 to 3 June 10 and downed the Mets 7 to 3 June 12. A 17-16 vjctory was gained by the Dodgers over the Cardinals June 18 and the Dodgers downed the Pirates 13 to 7 June 23. The Dodgers toppled the Yankees 8 to 4 June 26. The Dodgers jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the Pony League before they suffered suf-fered their first loss of the season to the Mets 13 to 12 June 2. The Dodgers thumped the Royals 16 to 5 May 12 and downed the Braves 13 to 6 May 14. The Dodgers toppled the Mets 18 to 8 May 19 and defeated the Mustangs 10 to 5 May 21. One run victories were acquired by the Dodgers as they nipped the Royals 8 to 7 May 27 and the Braves 7 to 6 May 29. The Mets handed the Dodgers their first loss of the year by the score of 13 to 12 June 2. A 13-8 victory was gained by the Dodgers in a game with the Mustangs June 4 and the Dodgers thumped the Mustangs 11 to 3 June 8. The Mets handed the Dodgers another loss as they won 4 to 2 June 10 and the Dodgers suffered their second loss in a row by the score of 10 to 9 June 12, in a game with the Braves. The Dodgers edged the Royals 7 to 3 June 15 but suffered their fourth loss to the Royals by the score of 7 to 5 June 19. The Dodgers nipped the Braves 7 to 4 June 22 and ! downed the Mets 5 to 4 June 26. The Dodgers thumped the Mustangs 15 to 5 June 29. The Mets placed second in the league at 10-6 and the Royals placed third at 8-8. The Braves nabbed fourth : place at 7-9 and the Mustangs captured fifth place at 3-13. Vernal will host a section Bronco League Tournament July 29, 30, 31 and August 1 and will host a region tourney August 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Vernal will have a team in each tournament. The Colt League all-stars will compete in a tourney in Payson Monday. A host team from Vernal and other Utah teams will take part in the section meet. A host Vernal team and crews from Idaho, Colo., Washington, Oregon, and the top team from Utah out of the section meet will take part in the region tourney.
