Show June 13 ivedding unites couple Stacy Arlean Nelson and Jeffery David Orn were married June 13 at the Elk's Lodge. Bishop Kenneth Anderton performed the ceremony. For her wedding the bride wore a gown with a Queen Anne neckline trimmed with seed pearls and lace. The sleeves were sheer lace with lace cuffs. The full organza skirt and train were accented with three tiers of lace around the bottom. The bride's veil was bridal illusion held by a small lace and pearl cap. She carried a bouquet of white silk roses tipped with vellow and accented by different colored baby's breath ribbon and lace. Stacy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harden Nelson Jr. Jeffery is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Orn. The mother of the bride wore a long violet dress with a floral open tunic jacket. The groom's mother wore a long peach satin dress with a draped neckline and elastic cuffs. Both mothers had flowers that matched the bride's. The bride's attendants were Debbie Nelson, maid of honor, Dorothy Orn, Susan Bennion and Annette Bennion. Each wore a different colored dress. The top had a sheer cape of a solid color and the skirt was stripped by each color in the rainbow. They carried flowers to match the color of the top sheer cape. The flowergirls, Hollie Peterson and Robin Merrell, are the daughters of the bride's mother's flowergirls. Standing as the bestman was Dave Jensen. The ushers were Darin Nelson, Larry Jensen and Scott Nelson. The Lodge was decorated by bouquets of multi-colored arrangements. Three large oval shaped stands lined with blue served as a backdrop. On the tables were various colored bouquets topped with an umbrella. um-brella. A three tiered cake, made by the bride and Pat McConkie, was decorated in rainbow colored sweet pea flowers with lace butterflies and hearts. The cake was topped with a hand blown glass heart. Six small round cakes circled around the bottom of the cake. They were accented by two matching fountains. The greeters were Lila Robbins and Marilyn Bennion. Sitting at the guest was the groom's sister, Susan Plotnick. Working in the gift room were Connie Miller, Toni Jensen and Sadie Larsen. The servers were Nikki Nelson, Vickie Simper and Carrie Jensen. Pat McConkie Mc-Conkie cut and served the cake. Donna Merrell, Kathy Robbins and Janet Simper all worked in the kitchen. The program held before the ceremony included a duet by Cindy Fountaine and Love Ann Manwaring entitled, "Love is a Many Splendored Thing." Susan Plotnick and Dorothy Orn sang, "The Rose"; then Love Anne Manwaring and Cindy Fountaine sang. "Walk Hand in Hand." The prayer was given by the bride's great uncle. Warren Richardson. A rehearsal brunch was given June 13 at the Lamplighter Inn. Those in the wedding line and out of town guests from Salt Lake City. Brigham City. Midvale. Draper, Roy and Layton. were in attendance. The couple spent their honeymoon in Southern Utah and Las Vegas They will make their home in Vernal. |
